The conference will take place at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Address: Theatre Academy (Teatterikorkeakoulu) Haapaniemenkatu 6 FIN 00530 Helsinki Finland Location: The Theatre Academy is located in downtown Helsinki in an area called Hakaniemi. From Helsinki´s Central Railway Station you will reach the Academy by riding the metro for one stop east and walking a few blocks along Söräisten rantatie from the Hakaniemi market square. Tram number 6 and busses number 65 and 66 will take you all the way to Haapaniemenkatu. If you take a tram or bus from the railway station tram or bus stop you should get off at the fourth stop. You can fly directly to Helsinki from most of the capital cities in Europe and a few locations in the United States and Canada. The official Finnish airline is Finnair, but several international airlines fly to Helsinki as well. Among them are Air France, Air Canada, British Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Northwestern Airlines, SAS, Swissair etc. The Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is located some 30 kilometres or a half an hour drive from downtown Helsinki. The Finnair City Bus will take you to downtown Helsinki with a 5 euro fare (for schedules, stops and fares see www.finnair.fi). The Yellow Line Airport Taxi also offers inexpensive rates; approximately 18 euros for a ride to the city centre (see www.airporttaxi.fi). Since the neighbourhood of the Theatre Academy does not offer many restaurants or cafeterias for lunching, the conference offers an option for catered meals at the conference venue for a 40 euro fee. The meals include coffee or tea and biscuits during four intermissions and lunch Friday through Sunday. For lunch there is both a regular and vegetarian option. The meals should be ordered in advanced on registration and they should be paid when arriving at the conference. Reservation for the meals is binding.
